The effective management of technical documentation is a key element in providing good customer satisfaction and controlling project costs. The documentation process should be closely integrated with the Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) of a system and with the development of its training solution, in order to maximise the use of a single data repository for generating manuals, parts lists, and training material.
Defence programmes may require the use of MoD approved databases (e.g. a Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR)) and defined standards such as AECMA S1000D for the creation of the documentation. Management involves selecting the right media (e.g. hard or soft) and presentation formats, specifying the data module deliverables from suppliers, controlling the authoring, integration and validation processes, and selecting trustworthy sub-contractors. This process becomes more complicated when both industry and the military contribute to the overall set of systems documentation and industry may bear the risk of managing the overall process.

documentation include:
- FIST - Future Integrated Soldier Technology for the UK MoD. Persides as a Tier 1 partner to Thales is responsible both management of technical documentation for the main programme and delivery of technical documentation for UORs.

- Land 121 - Australia’s military vehicle replacement programme valued at A$3b. Persides’ role included the management of the technical documentation solution to the standards of DEF Aust 5629B, AECMA S1000D and MIL-PRF 87268A (IETM).

- Lydian - an airborne surveillance system. Persides has supported UTACS in the integration of industry and military documentation to meet Directorate of Army Aviation (DAAvn) requirements.
