Thales has awarded Persides a contract for the provision of consultancy services into the FRES SOSI. The scope of the contract includes all of Persides' key skill areas including through-life capability management, project management, systems engineering and supportability.

The 8th Soldier Technology conference in Europe took place at the Olympia Conference Centre, London from June 3rd-6th 2008 with over 450 soldier modernisation experts from around the world. Persides exhibited its VEEcam product and won the coverted award for Most Innovative Soldier System against formidable competition. This award underlines VEEcam's capability in high performance, tactical body-worn video systems.

VEEcam capability includes GPS and Secure Evidence Gathering System
(June 2008)VEEcam can now be delivered with two new major functions: GPS for accurate time and position recording and the SEGS software for securely managing video/stills recordings from the VEEcam console to the back-office image processing system.
Selex has contracted Persides' support for Project Asteral, an overseas soldier modernisation programme. Persides' responsibilties include Supportability strategy and management, R&M engineering, LSA, training and human factors.

SEA has awarded Persides the lead in the ELS workpackage relating to the use of oils and lubricants in joint deployments.
Raytheon has awarded Persides a contract to conduct the relaibility modelling for a torpedo.
Thales have awarded Persides a 12 month contract to carry out the Software R&M and Safety elements of the AMO programme. This significant amount of work was won in compettion against some major players in the defence consulting market place.

After a hectic few months Persides has completed its work on the Sniper System Improvement Programme (SSIP) for Accuracy International to the delight of the MoD and AI. Persides delivered a turnkey fixed price contract covering Safety, ILS Management, ILS Engineering, Technical Documentation and Training.

Sales of Persides' VEEcam system has now extended into the rail security market with an order from Southern Rail and further systems under evaluation with Southeastern Rail. In the commercial market, motorcycle activity centres have seen the benefit of the rugged design and high quality video.

FRES - MRO Study
(May 2008)Persides has secured a major part in the MRO (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) study for the FRES Utility Vehicle, under contract from Thales. The objective of the study is to determine the current capability of the UK industrial base in delivering the MRO capability and where that capability falls short of best-practice define a migration plan to improve performance.

Raytheon contracts extended
(April 2008)Persides' contracts with Raytheon on a number of surveillance platform programmes have recently been extended both in terms of duration and scope. Persides is now delivering services from two of its main business areas, namely Project Management and Supportability.
Additional Police Constabulary orders VEEcam system
(April 2008)The number of Police Constabularies that have ordered VEEcam systems increased to 5 this month on the back of successful trials with end users. This success sets the scene for bidding into other upcoming body-worn video requirements.
Jacobs Defence contracted Persides to support their bid for the OUVS (Operational Utility Vehicle System) prospect. Persides' responsibilities included DLOD integration, Through-life Capability Management with support in SRD development, benefits analysis and supplier evaluations.

Persides receives signifcant orders from two UK police forces for their rugged video system, VEEcam. The system’s image performance, ruggedness and value-for-money were key discriminators in selecting the VEEcam product.

Persides' sales of its VEEcam product continue to grow as another two UK police forces select the world-leading ruggedised video system for operational use. Interest from other police and security organisations is also on the increase as the capability and value-for-money becomes known to these demanding customers.
Persides receives a significant order from the UK MoD for its VEEcam product together with a unique load carriage solution, different camera options and integrated GPS receiver. The system video performance, ruggedness and value-for-money were key discriminators in selecting the VEEcam product.
Persides is has secured a Subcontract Management role in the homeland defence programme e-Borders, a flagship project led by Raytheon as part of the Trusted Borders consortium to modernise UK border and security systems and processes.
