Persides was founded in November 2003. The composition of the management team has been deliberately selected to ensure both depth of experience and breadth of skills covering all the major disciplines required in the delivery and support of complex electronic systems.

Mark Cook
Mark Cook has over 25 years experience developing and delivering complex electronic systems to the defence and defence-related markets. Mark's position before founding Persides was as Managing Director of the C4ISR division of Thales Defence Ltd. Prior to Thales, Mark lived in Australia for 7 years and played a key role in establishing the electronics and software capability of ADI, now Thales Australia, Australia's largest defence supplier. His career started at GEC Avionics (now BAE SYSTEMS) in Rochester designing avionic systems.
Gary Miller
Gary Miller has over 15 years experience delivering support solutions to both industry and the MoD. Gary's experience is founded on working with the MOD's ILS community where he was responsible for the ILS aspect of the new C4ISR acquisitions as well as the ongoing support of legacy systems. Working in industry Gary was able to combine his first-hand experience on supporting systems in the field with the authority to influence system design to deliver innovative, cost effective support solutions on a number of major programmes. Gary's previous employers were Thales, QinetiQ and the Defence Logistics Organisation.
Richard Naden
Richard Naden has over 20 years experience in the defence industry with his early years working for Marconi Radar Systems commissioning, testing and achieving customer acceptance of high complexity radar systems for land and ship-borne applications. Richard also worked for Alenia Marconi Systems and Thales in a diverse range of roles including systems design authority, systems engineering manager, business development manager and project director.
Chris Mobley
Chris Mobley has over 20 years experience in the research and development of leading-edge electronic and software systems for the defence, mobile communications and automotive industries. Throughout his career Chris has specialised in high performance real-time embedded applications and has developed extensive knowledge of digital signal processing algorithms and implementations on a variety of microprocessor and FPGA platforms. Chris's previous employers include Thales, Motion Media, the University of Bath where Chris gained a PhD in Digital Signal Processing and the MoD.
Steve Lancaster
Steve Lancaster has over  15 years experience delivering complex programmes within the Defence Industry.  Steve started out his career as an apprentice with GEC Alsthom in Trafford Park, Manchester, working on propulsion systems for rolling stock.  Since then, and prior to his appointment as Managing Director of Persides Consultancy Services Limited (PCSL), Steve has worked in senior functional and programme management roles within Thales UK, and as a senior management consultant within Raytheon Systems Limited (RSL) managing citical high-value projects through delivery and in-service support phases.
