About Persides > Capabilities > Management > Bid Proposals Management

The quality of bids and proposals is a major discriminating factor in customers’ selection process in the highly competitive market place of defence and aerospace.

Persides has a wide variety of experience in delivering winning proposals to UK and international customers and has the capability to lead or contribute to all phases of the bidding process, from early strategic planning, stakeholder management, competitor analysis, teaming analysis, bid/no-bid decisions, development of storyboards and win themes, through to hands-on preparation and delivery of the proposal itself.

Where customers have inadequate resource or lack of experience Persides has demonstrated its ability to provide a turn-key bid management service which includes forming the structure of the bidding consortium and leading that team to deliver a compelling and professional proposal.

In addition to winning new work for customers Persides has managed, on behalf of its customers, supplier competitions including: market surveys of potential suppliers, filtering via pre-qualification questionnaires, generation of Request For Quotation or Invitation To Tender documentation, definition of a proposal scoring system and evaluation of submitted tenders.

In terms of process Persides has adapted the industry standard methods defined by the Prince2 programme management methodology, and the Shipley proposal management methodology, to create a bid management process that adheres to the core principles of these standards, but allows flexibility and scalability to accommodate bids of varying size and complexity.
Examples of our bid management experience include the following:
  • Land 121 - Australia’s military vehicle replacement programme valued at A$3b.  Persides’ role in bid management in support of Pinzgauer (now BAE Systems) was overall management of the bidding activity including strategy, establishing the bid team using internal and external resources, preparation and submission of tender deliverables, supporting customer liaison and bid process improvement.
